βFixture Load & Occupancy+-
- Building/Occupancy Type matches the actual building β single-family home, multi-family/apartment (3+ units), or commercial/institutional β since the same fixture carries a different WSFU value in each.
- Every fixture actually supplied by this specific pipe segment is included in the fixture list, not just the fixtures in one room.
- Water closet type (gravity tank, flushometer tank, or flushometer valve) matches what's actually specified or installed, not a generic default.
- Quantities per fixture type reflect the final fixture count from the architectural/plumbing drawings, not a rough guess.
- Hose bibbs, lawn sprinkler zones, and other continuous-flow connections are entered in the separate Continuous-Flow Fixtures section (direct GPM), not added to the fixture-unit list β per IPC Appendix E they are excluded from the WSFU method entirely.
