- T-posts driven to the full planned depth (not left shallow), with NO concrete used for line posts
- T-post clips installed at every wire crossing, oriented so the wire is captured against the post, not just resting on the clip
- Actual post spacing spot-checked across the run, not assumed uniform from the total post count alone
- T-post studs/anchor plate oriented consistently per the manufacturer's guidance, typically facing the side under the most animal pressure
βH-Brace Construction (Ends, Corners & Gates)+-
- Both posts of every H-brace assembly set to the full planned depth, plumb, before the horizontal brace and diagonal wire go on
- Diagonal brace wire installed with the correct top/bottom staple orientation and properly tensioned with a twitch stick or inline tightener
- Brace post setting method (tamped vs. concrete) confirmed as appropriate for the soil and load β not silently defaulted
- Brace post lumber confirmed rated for ground contact (not just general pressure-treated), matching the full buried depth used in this takeoff
- Every diagonal-wire SYSTEM (end, gate side, one side of a corner's double-H, or one direction of an intermediate brace) is installed as the full 2-loop pattern β no system gets a reduced single-loop wire
- Every corner over roughly 20 degrees of direction change is built as a full DOUBLE H-brace β 2 rails and 2 independent diagonal-wire systems, sharing a single center corner post (3 posts total, not 4 separate posts)
- Every intermediate 'pull brace' H-brace has 2 diagonal-wire systems (one per direction), not 1, since it sits mid-run and carries tension pulling both ways along the same line
- On a long straight run, intermediate 'pull brace' H-brace assemblies confirmed at the planned locations, not just at the two run ends β spacing checked against the wire-type-specific interval (roughly 660 ft for woven wire, 1,320 ft for barbed wire)
βWire Tensioning, Gates & Maintenance+-
- Main fence wire tensioned to the manufacturer's/installer's recommended tension, not just pulled tight by hand
- Gate hinges and latch confirmed rated for the actual gate weight and width, with both sides anchored to their own H-brace assembly
- Any wire splices (where a roll ends mid-run) tied with a proper wire-specific splice knot, not just twisted by hand
- Periodic maintenance (re-tensioning, clip/staple replacement, vegetation control along the line) planned for, not treated as a one-time installation
