What Is a Ready-Mix Concrete Order Calculator?

Ready-mix (RMC) concrete is batched at a plant and delivered by transit mixer truck, ready to place — the question it raises isn't "how much cement, sand, and aggregate do I need" (that's a site-mix question), it's "how many truck loads do I book, how long will the pour take, and what will it cost." Getting the order volume wrong means either an emergency top-up truck mid-pour, or paying for concrete you didn't need.

This calculator converts your pour dimensions (or a directly measured volume) plus a wastage allowance into the exact order volume to book, splits that volume into whole transit mixer truck loads including the final partial load, estimates total pour time from truck count and pour method, and totals cost including an optional pump charge and small-load surcharge if your order falls below your supplier's minimum.

What makes this calculator different:

Most concrete calculators on the web compute cement bags, sand, and aggregate from a mix ratio — useful for site-batched concrete, but the wrong tool once you've decided to order ready-mix. This calculator instead treats the order as a logistics problem: volume in, truck loads and schedule out. It explicitly separates the final partial truck load from full loads (since that's what actually shows up on your last delivery docket), flags orders below a supplier's minimum before you get surprised by a surcharge, and estimates pour duration from truck count and placement method — none of which a mix-ratio calculator answers.

Step 1 - Theoretical Volume

Step 3 - Truck Loads

Step 4 - Pour Time and Cost

Estimated Pour Time = Total Trucks x Minutes per Truck (20 chute / 35 pump)
